Privacy Policy
Short version: Mirio collects nothing about you. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Effective September 26, 2026. This policy covers the Mirio app for iPhone.
What we collect
Nothing. Mirio has no servers of its own and no accounts. It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and it doesn't share or sell data with anyone.
What stays on your iPhone
Your preferences, the categories you create, your lessons, bookmarks, streak and reminder time are saved only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also clear them in Mirio's Settings.
Wikipedia
To find and write new lessons, Mirio fetches public articles from Wikipedia's API. Those requests go directly from your iPhone to the Wikimedia Foundation and contain only the article or search being requested, such as a topic you typed into Teach me about…. Like any website, Wikimedia receives your device's IP address when you connect; its handling is described in the Wikimedia privacy policy. Opening a “Go deeper” link opens Wikipedia in your browser.
On-device intelligence
Lessons and answers to follow-up questions are written by Apple's on-device model where your iPhone supports it. That processing happens on your iPhone; Mirio doesn't send your questions anywhere.
Reminders
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push service is involved.
Emailing us
If you choose to email us, for example with Report a problem, we receive what you send, including your email address and the lesson details the app fills in. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem, and we don't add you to any list.
Children
Mirio collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
